Jodi Cooley, owner of Creekside Chiropractic Center, is pleased to be a part of the new Creekside area of Olde Gahanna. Dr. Cooley opened Creekside Chiropractic Center in December, but has been providing comprehensive chiropractic care to the Gahanna area since 1995. She is finding her new office to be her favorite location. She also has a licensed massage therapist, Katie Bonvillian, who specializes in therapeutic and relaxation massage.

Chiropractic care involves treatment that helps the body heal without drugs and surgery. Chiropractic adjustments to the spine and other joints help to restore normal movement and allow muscles, joints and nerves to function optimally. Dr. Cooley's philosophy is to treat each patient as an individual with different treatment goal and needs. Dr. Cooley utilizes many different techniques including diversified, Flexion-Distraction, Activator, Drop technique, Stretching, and rehabilitation. She enjoys treating those who have more difficult cases, such as sciatic pain or shoulder injuries and is currently studying the Activator Technique, use of an adjusting tool for those who would benefit from a more gentle approach.

Creekside Chiropractic Center welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans. For those who are underinsured or uninsured, they offer time of service discounts as well as easy payment plans. Same day appointments are offered as well as hours to fit your busy schedule,
including early morning and evening.

Cold Stone Creamery Gahanna is a super premium ice cream shop now open at the Gahanna Creekside facility. Cold Stone offers its popular superpremium ice cream as well as ice cream cakes, shakes and smoothies. All of Cold Stone's products are prepared on site daily. This helps ensure that customers are getting the freshest ice cream possible. But that is only the beginning!

Once a customer chooses a flavor of ice cream, they can then choose from over 2 dozen mixin’s (fresh fruit, candies, nuts, etc.) to create their own personal ice cream indulgence. To make things simple, Cold Stone offers 20 Signature Creations which are popular combinations of ice cream and mixin’s. For example, one of the more popular Signature Creations is Chocolate Devotion – chocolate ice cream with fudge, chocolate chips and brownies mixed in!

Cold Stone is a national franchise and is one of the top 5 selling ice cream brands in the U.S. However, most Cold Stone locations are locally owned and operated and run like a true “Mom and Pop” ice cream store. This is true with respect to the Gahanna location. The owner of this location, Jeff Curran, is getting involved in many community activities and has already donated product to dozens of organizations since opening in January of this year. In addition, Cold Stone provides employment opportunities for over a dozen high school and college students in addition to a small management team.

Be sure to visit Cold Stone soon for the Ultimate Ice Cream Experience!

Gahanna Animal Hospital has been serving the community since 964. Dr. John Worman and his wife Dr. Paula Marrie purchased the practice in 1981. They quickly began adding associate veterinarians to their staff to meet the demands of the community.

Currently, there are six associates in addition to the owners:
Drs. Nancy Rich (Purdue) joined them in 1989, Kristy Clay (O.S.U.) joined in 1996, Deborah Rausch (O.S.U.) and Cate Drost (North Carolina) in 2002, Joy Harkins (O.S.U.) in 2004, and Debra Riebel (O.S.U.) originally joined the team in 1993 and received her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2003.
Having multiple doctors allows for different perspectives and additional insight on each case and is of great benefit to medical treatment.

In addition to eight great veterinarians, Gahanna Animal Hospital employs only Registered Veterinary Technicians (R.V.T.) to perform nursing care. They currently employee eight R.V.T.s, veterinary students, veterinary technicianstudents, Pet Care Specialists, Client Care Representatives, and a Professional Groomer.
More than fifty percent of the staff has been employed there for over five years. Over twenty-five percent have been there for more than ten. The entire staff is kept current on the latest medical technology through both in-house and outside continued education. They are truly dedicated to their profession.

Gahanna Animal Hospital gives back to the community by mentoring “Shadows” from area schools, conducting tours and presentations for local groups and teaching pet safety to school aged children.

The hospital has had two major renovations over the past 27 years and is twice the size that it was originally. The first renovation was in 1994 and the most recent in 2005. Their modern facility offers a wide range of services, including: well-care, vaccinations, outine and extensive surgeries, orthopedics, radiology, boarding, daycare, puppy classes, grooming and emergency services.

With late evening and Saturday appointments, they are able to accommodate most busy schedules. For more information call 614-471-2201.  (June 2008.)
